FESTIVAL OF SHERPA PEOPLE
Loshar
Losar indicates New Year day for Sherpa people. The New Year of Sherpa commences with the new moon in February and is welcomed with particular fevour at the great Boudhnath stupa carrying banners and portraits of Buddha and Dalai Lama. It is a great time for worshipping feasting, putting on new clothes, gathering and celebrating which is a week long festival celebrated every year. Boudha stupa the largest shrine of Asia is the major place for the celebration of Loshar. Ceremonies are also performed at Sherpa Sewa Kendra near Boudha. Dressed in their most traditional customs

MANI RIMDU
Most fabroute festival of Sherpa people. It lies between May - June and Oct. - Nov. (date were not fixed). The Sherpa festival of Mani Rimdu :=-.5s c ace ai tne Monastery of Thyangboche, Thame and Chiwang in Solukhumbu region. The 3 day festival features masked dances monks and celebrates the victory. It is suitable period for those foreigners who is interested for the culture and history of Buddish. SUITABLE TREKKING SEASONS IN NEPAL
The best time is from October to May (the dry season) season. June, July, August is the mansoon seasons. This generalization does not allow for the peculiarities of individual treks however some people even claim that the undeniable difficulties of trekking during mansoon are outweighed by the lack of crowd, but the foreigners who is interested to watch birds and flowers. It is the suitable period, in this season you will see lack of birds, flowers and medicine plants.

September 15th to end of November are the ideal period for trekking in Nepal. The air freshly washed by the mansoon rains is crystal clear. The mountain scenery is superb and the weather is still comfortably warm. At low altitudes in September, October, and end of November it can actually by quite balmy and trekkers may find the complete a whole trek in T-shirt weather, but don't forget to pack extra clothes such as warm Jacket, Pants, Trousers etc. for emergency.

December, January and February are still good months for Trekking, but the cold can be bitter at high altitudes while you are starting a trek from the nearest point of Mountain on directly, but there are less chances to get such type of high altitudes while you are starting from low place.
March April and May months offer weather, by this time of year the weather has been dry for a long time and dust is starting to hang on the air. In this period you will see the forest were covered with many beautiful flowers and spectacular display of Rhododendrons in lower elevations.
PRECAUTIONS
Through medical checkup and inoculations before starting trekking is a preventive measure. It is imperative to make a comprehensive. First aid box consisting basic drugs and accessories which can help during the time of trek because remote place in Nepal is not sufficiently provided with modern medical facilities.

SHIVAPURI TREK

It begins at Budhanilkantha with the option to end of Nagarkot or Dhulikhel. At Budhanilkantha you will see the ancient statue of lord Vishnu sleeping on a bed of snake from the steps of the Maju Deval you can look across the square to the Shiva and his consort look out from the upstairs window on the coming and going below them. It was built in the late 1700s by Bahadur Shah. You can watch beautiful long-range views of mountains and magnificent sunsets and sun rise will be seen from the slopes of Shivapuri the second highest mountain on the Kathmandu valley. Shivapuri trek takes 5 days


FULCHOKI DAKSHINKALI TREK

This is short trek but very rewarding trek on the rim of the Kathmandu valley. You will begin your trip at Dakshinkali, a holy temple dedicated to Kali, where you can view sacrificial ceremonies on Tuesday and Saturday. Along our route, Mt. Fulchoki will be special interest to those wanting to learn about village life style and the vast variety of flowers and birds in the low mountain area. The Fulchjoki Dakshinkali trek takes 5 days to 8 days.

PEAKE TREK

It lies east of Kathmandu. It begins with option to end of Phaplu. The Peake trek lakes 10 days 12 days. The maximum height attend is 4500 meters. It is popular for old Sherpa Tradition and Culture. You will see the famous cheese factory on the trail of Deaurali and Peake. In the hill sides covered with wild flowers and spectacular display of Rhododendrons in the spring (March-April). From Peake you will see the view of Mt. Everest, Makalu, Kanchanganga (The third highest Mountain in the world), Dudhakunda and many more beautiful views.

HELAMBU TREK

It lies North of Kathmandu valley and easily accessible from Kathmandu. The Helambu trek only takes a week. So it is ideal for people who do not have the time for one of the longer treks. Since it stays at relatively low altitudes it does not require fancy cold weather equipment and clothing. There are many Buddhist monasteries in the region amidst rich and enchanting landscapes.
MANASLU TREK

All Manaslu treks begins at Gorkha. This recently opened area brings you the opportunity to experience village culture and the beauties of the pine forest, view Tibetan plateau from Larke Pass or choose the Base Camp trek and visit natural hot springs. Another option of this varied area is the Rupinala route which will take you to a holy lake, the Dudh Pokhari. The choice is yours :-
1)        Rupinala - Dudh Pokhari               16 days
2)        Manaslu Base Camp                     20 days
3)        Larke Pass                                    25 days

DOLPA TREK

This is the longest trek in Nepal and will take the most remote villages where people still live as they did long ago. Few tourist visit this fascinating area even today. You will have great mountain views including the magnificent Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167 m). This trek is recommended for groups. The trek begins with a flight from KTM to Jumla or a drive to Surkhet or Baglung. Dolpa trek takes 25 days to 35 days.

LANTANG TREK

The Lang Tang Trek lasts 8 to 10 days. If you walk in and but it can be varied by flying. Out or by crossing a high pass down to Helambu region. There are some relatively uninhabited stretches accommodation is available. The maximum height attained is 3800 meters. You can enjoy the inner and hidden treasure of Tamang culture and tradition. On the way you can see Mani wall stone.

EVEREST TREK (CHOMOLUNGMA)

CHOMOLUNGMA in Tibetan "Mother Goddess of the Earth, the highest mountain in the world. The name of Everest is magic in itself.
The attractions include spectacular scenery and the outgoing Sherpa people of Solukhumbu the region where Mt. Everest and its attendant lesser peaks are located. Solukhumbu region has sweeping glaciers, magnificent mountains, forest animals birds and Monasteries, forest, animals birds and Monasteries. It begins at Jiri with the option to end of Lukla or back to Jiri. The maximum height attained is 5500m on the trail of Everest base camp or Kalaphather. The Everest Trek last 12 days to maximum 35 days. The quickest and easiest way to reach this region is by flight to Lukla at 2827 meters. On the trail you will see a old and biggest Buddhist monasteries called as Tyangboche on 3800 meters. Which is famous all over the world.

ANNAPURNA TREK

Annapurna range is very close to Pokhara. The Trek is this part of the country offer a great deal of cultural and geography diversity. This is the most famous trekking area in Nepal. It begin at Pokhara. There are many popular longer treks from Pokhara such as.
a) Jomsom Trek (10 days)
b)  Round Annapurna (18-21 days)
c) Annapurna Century (10-17 days)
d) Jomsom - Muktinath (10 - 13 days)
e) Mustang (10-12 days)
All of these treks follow the same route at same point. Here you may visit such as Fewa Lake, Devi Falls, Mahendra Cave, Plunging gorges, Museums a Tibetan Camp or simply takes in the unsurpassable views of Annapurna range Option for your trek will include a climb up Poon Hill one of the finest and popular lookout points in the region for sun rise over the Annapurna Peak and Machapuchhre. Visit Ghandrung a large typical Gurung village. KANCHENJUNGA TREK

The most wonderful region and the third highest mountain in the world (8986 Meters). It is located in the extreme Northeast corner of Nepal. Bordering India to the East and China to the North. It begins at Tumlingtar of Taplejung or Basantapur by bus or flight to Biratnagar then by bus form Biratnagar to Basantapur. This trek is the most adventurous of all routes. You will see the views of Yalung Glacier and a wide variety of forest. The KANCHENJUNGA trek takes 28 days to maximum 35 days. Maximum height attend is around 5700 meters on the trail of crossing Lopshang La.
